Paternity test

Paternity DNA tests determine the likelihood that a male is the biological father of a child. Standard parties tested include a child, the alleged father, and the mother. The mother’s participation in a paternity test helps to exclude half of the child’s DNA, leaving the other half for comparison with the alleged father’s DNA. Paternity DNA tests can be completed without the mother’s participation, but it is always recommended.

All ChromoGenetics laboratories’ paternity tests utilize stringent, validated testing procedures and include up to 22 STR loci plus the gender identification marker amelogenin in order to achieve 100% accurate results.
